Bertalan Farkas, the first Hungarian ever in space, along with Soviet cosmonaut Valeri Kubasov, was launched on Soyuz 36 on May 26, 1980 . After 7 days 20 hours and 45 minutes, and having completed 124 orbits, Farkas and Kubasov returned to Earth on Soyuz 35. The descent module is on display at the Hungarian Museum of Transport
